Hotel in Morteau
A stone's throw from the Swiss border, Morteau is 49 km from Besançon and 26 km from Neuchâtel in Switzerland (near Le Locle, La Chaux de Fonds and Les Brenets). This dynamic small town in the middle mountains has preserved its authenticity while establishing itself as a tourist destination in its own right. You will enjoy the diversity and conviviality of all touristic activities, sportive trails, incredible landscapes… in the middle of the nature.
Housed in a recently renovated 1954 building, the Hotel les Montagnards is located in the city center of Morteau, on a small isolated dead-end offering peace and serenity. A 3-minute walk from Morteau train station, and a 7-minute walk from the Haut-Doubs Clock Museum. It takes just 7 minutes by car to reach Villers le Lac, the neighboring town, home to the famous Doubs Canyons classified as a “major national site” and the Saut du Doubs waterfall. In the heart of Morteau, our establishment is also very close to restaurants, cinemas and the theater.
The Hotel
Recently renovated, our hotel illustrates the successful marriage between mountain style and a down-to-earth, more contemporary approach, where charm and a friendly atmosphere promise an exceptional stay in Morteau.
All designed with a private bathroom, our 18 bright and comfortable rooms spread over two floors have a flat screen TV, telephone, desk area, hairdryer and free Wifi. There is no small single room at the Hotel Les Montagnards, single people can therefore enjoy a double room by reserving it for a single occupancy. For families with young children, baby cots, changing mats.
Our establishment has a large terrace on the ground floor and a small balcony upstairs offering a beautiful view of the mountain from Montlebon. Our hotel also has a pleasant reception lounge to welcome you in a friendly atmosphere.
A large municipal free car park is available just behind the hotel.
For our biker and cyclist friends, a private garage is provided free of charge.
In the event of rain, you will be able to hand your clothes in our laundry room. We also offer you the possibility to clean your mountain bike.
This varied breakfast in the form of an all-you-can-eat buffet offers many fresh products and even the possibility of tasting one of the cheese specialties of the region, the famous "Comté" cheese made in a local cheese factory!
You will appreciate: croissants, fresh bread, sandwich bread (whole wheat and plain), delicious jams, honey or spread, cereals, yogurts, compotes, fresh fruits, raw ham, Comté cheese, hot drinks (teas, coffees, hot chocolates…), fruit juices (apple and orange), etc.
At a rate of €12 per person, breakfast is generously offered to children under 12.
To reserve your breakfast, simply add the option to your reservation.
Opening hours: 7:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Monday to Friday and 7:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Saturday and Sunday.
